Mark Beverages was established to make world-class beverages accessible to all. In 2019, Mark Beverages proudly introduced its flagship product: Goli Sodas, packaged in authentic Codd-neck bottles. These drinks are a tribute to the golden days when soda was a treat to savor and share. By bringing back the iconic popping bottles, we aimed to deliver not just a beverage but a memorable experience to our customers.

The Codd-neck bottle, affectionately known as the “Goli Soda” bottle in India, is more than just a container—it’s an experience. Invented in the 19th century by Hiram Codd, these bottles were originally designed to preserve the fizz in carbonated drinks. The iconic design features a glass marble held in place by the pressure of carbonation, creating a tight seal without the need for a cap.

What makes these bottles truly special is the nostalgic “pop” sound when the marble is pushed down to open the drink. This sensory experience of opening a Codd-neck bottle is one of joy and anticipation, a tradition cherished across generations. At Mark Beverages, we chose these bottles for our first launch as a way to revive that heritage while delivering a modern twist to a classic design.
